At 20:36 WMFD was dispatched to a possible working structure fire in the 500 block of County Route 11. This was dispatched as a possible abandonned house. First arriving Chief (3302) reported working structure fire-fully involved.

West Monroe has two new Firefighter 1 graduates. Peter Sonnacchio and Josh Krahl graduated 6-9-12 after completing 84 hours of training over 3 months. The New York State training was conducted in the city of Oswego at the Oswego County Emergency Response Training Center.
WMFD along with Central Square, Parish, SOVAC, and Mexico Responded to Hastings Fire District to assist in a working structure fire. More info can be seen at News 10 Now - Here
Friday night May 11th Kelley was presented her award at the Oswego County Emergency Medical Services Banquet held at the Bayshore Resturant in Scriba NY. Kelley also received a lifesaving award with Altmar Fire Department members for a call last year involving the Altmar Fire Chief.
West Monroe Fire Department responded mutual aid along with several other departments, to Cleveland for a working structure fire at United Wire Technology on State Route 49. 3301, 3303 3312 with 3 SCBA and 3362 with manpower responded to the scene.

WMFD Units along with SOVAC Ambulance were dispatched at 07:44 for a multi car motor vehicle accident unkoown injuries on State Route 49 near the intersection of County Route 11. SOVAC, 3362 and 3363 responded to the call.

Pancake Breakfast Huge Success West Monroe Fire would like to thank the public for there support of our pancake breakfast on April 1st. Thirty of our Fire Department members were on site to serve 522 members of the public this month.
WMFD had a record breaking month and was requested for help 52 times. Again EMS kept us very busy with a total of 25 EMS calls. Other calls included 7 motor vehicle accidents, 2 grass and brush fires, 7 structure fires and a few assist the citizen calls.

West Monroe, Hastings, Brewerton, Caughdenoy, SOVAC were all dispatched mutual aid for a reported shed on fire next to the house approximately 20:48. 1101 onscene reporting working fire involving house.
Approximately 08:50 West Monroe, Hastings, Caughdenoy, and Palermo was dispatched to a working fire on Gunther Road in the Town of Hastings. Central Square Cheif arrived and declared a working fire. 38MC1, SOVAC and Coordinators requested to the scene.

Daylight Saving Time begins March 11 WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is urging consumers to replace the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms this weekend for Daylight Saving Time.
Approximately 16:30 WMFD was dispatched to a grass/brish fire on Morey Road. First arriving Chief Kevin Davis requested 3311, 3371, 3351 to assist in fire suppression that was into the woods. Members stopped the fire spread and verified it was all out.
