West Monroe responded mutual aid to a garage fire at 306 Lower Road. West Monroe responded with 3312, 3351, 3362 to assist in the call. Cleveland and Central Square also assisted. 3312 was staged at West Road fill site and 3362 was utilized at the scene for manpower.
The West Monroe Fire Department (Engines 3311,3312 Rescues 3362,3363) responded to a garage fire on County Route 37 on Thursday evening. Mutual crews from Central Square(Engine541) and Constantia(Engine 811 and Rescue 862) assisted.
The West Monroe Volunteer Fire Department was called to State Route 49 across from the Post Office to a reported structure fire. Central Square and Constantia were activated per the department Automatic Mutual Aid agreement.
The West Monroe Volunteer Fire Department assisted the West Monroe Historical Society with the annual tree lighting at the WMHS building on State Route 49 in West Monroe. This is an annual event with Santa being delivered on a fire truck.

Firefighters Tommy Haynes and Dylan Petit graduated from the New York State Firefighter 1 class today. The class held at the Oswego County Emergency Response Training Center(ERTC) in Oswego NY. This 78 hour class conducted evenings and weekends and consisted of classroom and practical training.

On Sunday morning the West Monroe Fire Department conducted an SCBA drill. Under the direction of Assistant Chief Russ Boughton and Captain Al Giamartino, several members were able to practice search and rescue skills inside the county smoke trailer.

The West Monroe Fire Department responded mutual aid to Constantia Friday Nov 6th for a reported structure fire. West Monroe units responding were 3312(Engine) 3351(Tanker) 3362 and 3361(rescues), with a total of 12 personnel.

Firefighters Thomas Haynes and Dylan Petit are enrolled in the Firefighter 1 course. They spent Saturday 10/24/09 learning the skills of interior fire fighting as well as the skills for advancing on a vehicle fire.

West Monroe Fire Department was dispatched to ST RT 49 for a possible structure fire, fire in the kitchen of an apartment. Upon Assistant Chiefs arrival the "Working Fire Report" was given. 3311, 3312, 3362 all responded.

The West Monroe Fire Department has been very busy with alarms the last few days. Thursday October 15 the department responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident where the occupant was trapped in the vehicle.

The West Monroe Fire Department had another very successful fire prevention and safety night. More than 250 people attended this years event. This years event had several demonstration that taught, prevention, safety and what to do when there are emergencies.
