At about 2:00 A.M. Sunday morning the West Monroe Fire Department was alerted to go mutual aid to the Hasting fire district. West Monroe responded with Chief Boughton 3301, Tanker 3351 and Heavy Rescue 3362 with 7 Firefighters. Upon arrival Hastings Chief Neal Turo(1101) called a working fire with smoke coming from the ridge vents on a single story dwelling. The crew from West Monroe was active during fire suppression and overhaul operations. Nobody was injured at the scene however the warm night temperatures made it a bit uncomfortable for crews. West Monroe units returned to service about 6:00 AM
